Highway Access

Knox County is intersected by two major US Highway systems, all routes conform to Federal and State safety regulations for oversized and overweight vehicles.

  1. US 41 is a north-south route which runs from Chicago, IL to Nashville, TN meets 1-65, 1-24 and 1-40.
    At Terre Haute, IN, US 41 intersects 1-70 and at Evansville, IN,1-64 (only 45 minutes from Vincennes).
  2. US 50 is an east-west route which runs from Washington, DC to Kansas City, MO
    US 50 intersects 1-65 Seymour, IN and 1-64 at St Louis, Mo
