Advanced Manufacturing and Tech Center Groundbreaking

Vincennes University will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for its newest addition, the Advanced Manufacturing and Technology Center, on Oct. 27 at 11:00 a.m. (EDT). The Center will add over 57,000 square feet of laboratories and classroom space that will be devoted to programming in technologies needed for workers to succeed in the modern workforce.

This facility will allow us to offer education and training that will help manufacturers fill critical skills needs in their workforce, said Alan Johnson, dean of the Jasper Campus. The programming in this facility will be a key factor in retaining jobs and growing the regional economy.

The groundbreaking will take place at the construction site on the west side of the campus. Were planning an event that will take a creative approach to breaking the ground. This is about the future of our region, and that future demands flexibility and creative approaches to problem solving, said Johnson.
