Interest Free SBA Loans Available June 15th
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act authorized $255 million in SBA guaranteed loans to help existing businesses struggling with business loan payments due to the economic downturn. This program, called American Recovery Capital, or ARC, will be available beginning June 15th and will continue until September 30th or when funds are depleted, whichever comes first. “The funding only allows for about 10,000 loans nationwide, or an average of 200 per state, so it is critical that businesses have all their paperwork and supporting documentation ready by June 15th,” says Gary Gentry, President of the Knox County Development Corporation. Through the cooperation of the Technology and Theatre Departments, this is the real life training Vincennes University will be providing in the next 4-6 weeks for its Mining students. Duke Energy Has Selected a Rail Spur Route to Serve Its New Knox County Plant
Duke's rail spur will be about eight miles long. It will stretch from the new plant to a connection point with the Indiana Southern Railroad just south of Sandborn.
After evaluating several choices, the company selected a route that will generally run along the former railroad line that once served the current Edwardsport Station. The rail spur will extend north through Westphalia and on to Sandborn. Full Story...
